Tony Lymon
Artistic Director
Tony is a distinguished Artistic Director, recognized for his expertise in show design within the marching arts. Currently serving as the Artistic Director for the Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and Artistic Design/Sound Design for United Percussion (PIW), Tony also holds the role of creative designer for feniX Independent Winterguard (IW), ViP Percussion (PIW), UP2 Open (PIO), Vision Percussion (PIO), and Boswell HS (PSW).
With extensive experience, Tony has made a lasting impression on the marching band and percussion community. Recently concluding a twenty-four-year tenure as founder and show designer for Petal Indoor Percussion Theatre (PSW), a WGI Percussion Scholastic World Class Finalist, he has also contributed significantly as the co-music arranger/show designer for the Petal High School marching band, guiding them to success on both regional and national platforms.
Tony's achievements include twice being honored as the Outstanding Junior High Director of the Southeast Mississippi Band Directors Association and receiving the prestigious 2008 Mississippi Bandmasters Association AE McClain Outstanding Young Band Director Award. Beyond local programs, he established and led the Eminence Indoor Percussion Ensemble, a WGI Open Class finalist and championship ensemble.
Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Southern Mississippi, Tony showcased his talent as a principal percussionist in esteemed ensembles. His drum corps journey began as a member of the front ensemble of the World Champion Star of Indiana Drum and Bugle Corps from 1991 to 1993
Tony's creativity transcended conventional paths, leading him to a successful professional performance career with the pop/rock band King Konga. The band's international tours and chart-topping success solidified Tony's versatility and skill.
In recent years, Tony's influence expanded to renowned drum corps such as Carolina Crown, The Madison Scouts, and Pacific Crest, where he contributed to design and creative teams, shaping memorable performances. Alongside his artistic endeavors, he owns Eidetic Creative, a multimedia design business.
Residing in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Tony cherishes family life with his wife Emily and daughter Colette. His commitment to the art of show design continues to inspire and elevate performers and audiences alike, leaving a lasting impact on the marching arts community.
Bryson Teel
Sound Designer
Originally from Washington state, Bryson Teel is a full time marching arts electronics arranger, educator, and audio engineer residing in Western Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Audio and Music Production w/ a Focus in Percussion Performance from Western Connecticut State University.
Applying skills from studying modern media composition, concert/marching percussion, as well as audio engineering, Bryson is always trying to push the boundaries of the activity. He actively arranges for drums corps, marching band, indoor percussion, indoor winds, and winter guard.
Bryson also continues to develop his own abilities as a musical artist, leaning towards the electronic and alternative genres. He often works as a producer and mixing engineer for local artists.
In his free time, Bryson is an avid A24 film nerd, and you can often find him listening to Lizzie McAlpine or James Blake on repeat.
Brian Spencer
Battery Arranger
Brian Spencer is a Percussion and Band Director at Everett High school in Everett, MA. During his tenure the percussion section has won numerous NESBA events, secured top 3 finishes in WGI regionals, and made WGI Finals in 2023 and 2024. The Everett Percussion Ensemble was also selected to perform in Symphony Hall with the Millennial Choir and Orchestra.
Aside from his work with Everett, Brian is currently the Battery Designer for the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps from Nashua, New Hampshire and a Battery Technician for the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps from Boston, MA. During this time with the Spartans, the drum corps saw a radical change in placement winning back to back championships in 2023 and 2024 and securing the groups first Best Percussion award in over twenty years. The Boston Crusaders have been on a continual pursuit of excellence as the drum corps has finished in second place two of the last three years.
Brian was a member of the Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps, Spirit of America Winter Percussion, Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, United Percussion, and Music City Mystique. Brian received a bachelors in Music from Boston College and a Masters of Music Education from Boston University. In his free time Brian operates a small percussion and drill design business serving clients from Arkansas all the way to Maine and is a member of the Boston Celtics Drumline!
Matt Ridge
Front Ensemble Arranger
Hailed as “a terrific aural imagination” by The American Prize, Matt Ridge is a Los Angeles-based composer, arranger, and orchestrator. His work has garnered recognition as a winner of The American Prize (Ernst Bacon Memorial Award), as a finalist in two categories of The American Prize in Composition, and as a Judge’s Pick in the Percussive Arts Society Composition Contest.
Matt has worked for high-profile clients including John Williams, Alan Silvestri, James Newton Howard, Seth MacFarlane, and Apple as a music preparation specialist in the film and TV industry. He is an orchestrator, editor, copyist, and transcriptionist at JoAnn Kane Music Service, with select credits including “Avatar: The Way of Water”, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”, and “Only Murders in the Building”.
Influenced by a diverse performance background, Matt has run the gamut from singing contemporary vocal music with Indiana University’s acclaimed NOTUS to years of world class DCI/WGI membership as a percussionist. Recently, he performed with pop band MUNA to a sold out Greek Theatre crowd in Los Angeles as a choir member.
Matt maintains an active presence within the marching arts community as an award-winning arranger, most notably earning four consecutive WGI World Championships (PSCW) with Fishers High School (IN). His performance experience in this realm spans four seasons with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and two with Music City Mystique, serving a prominent leadership role in both ensembles.
A native of Indiana, Matt holds a degree in composition from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with high distinction. His teachers at IU included Tansy Davies, David Dzubay, Sven-David Sandström, Jeffrey Hass, Claude Baker, Don Freund, John Gibson, Aaron Travers, and Larry Groupé. He previously worked as an engraver and digital marketing specialist at Tapspace Publications, LLC, a percussion-oriented music publisher.
Matt is a member of ASCAP, PAS, and AFM Local 47. Outside of music, Matt enjoys a self-taught background and passion in video creation and takes interest in film, video games, science, and the endless void of Internet humor.
Micaiah Barnett
Visual Designer
Micaiah Barnett resides in the northwest Arkansas area, where he is a percussion instructor, choreographer, and visual designer for the marching arts. He focuses his efforts on visual design, creating custom props, uniforms, and silks for scholastic and independent groups across the country.
As an educator, Micaiah’s ensembles have made several successful appearances in USBands, ASBOA state finals, and AMAA Championship performances. As a designer, his clients have premiered art in nearly every idiom across the country. As a performer, Micaiah played snare with Resistance Indoor Percussion in their 2018, 2020, and 2022 competitive seasons.
In his free time, Micaiah likes to explore the world of fusion music, study figure drawing, and cook!
